"Voices from The Past: Civil Rights Living Wax Museum seeks to highlight the influence of the Civil Rights movement on the rights and freedoms that we have and continue to fight for today. In the past year, activism and civic engagement played a significant role in awareness of and engagement in social justice-related activities. Additionally, social media served as a conduit for information sharing and education around activism and social change in advancing causes. The competition seeks to sustain the momentum of learning and engagement while utilizing social media to engage ComArtSci and MSU community members. We hope this program will highlight the spirit of ingenuity that we recognize in our students, and support continued growth and learning in the areas of social and racial justice."
